Six Sentence Sunday

Last week was my dork edition of Six Sentence Sunday because I forgot to do the post ahead of time. So here is the normal edition.

And I really need to get this read and cut out what is the fat and keep the lean stuff. Same two characters as it has been the past two weeks before with Jane and Sebatin getting into trouble in other ways.

A bladed, toothy mouth opened in a scream before there was blood in the water. Jane pushed down and reached out, her fingers brushing against the sleeve of Sebatin’s clothing and used the small grip to pull him up towards her and pushed upwards out of the blood.

There was a flurry of action and reflection of scales as the others came closer, like sharks scenting blood. They ignored the woman and the fae in favor of ripping their own wounded sister to pieces, one darting past Jane with a bit of tail clenched into her teeth.

That was something that no one seemed to be aware of, mermaids could be cannibalistic.

She burst the surface of the water and took a huge breath before hooking her arm under Sebatin’s chin and towing him towards the shore that still burned with unnatural fire.
